King Jaime made him a Templar Knight, as tests revealed he was of noble blood from the Counts of Guise and a descendant of Carlos Martel, truly a fierce hammer against the Moors." The inheritance was passed down in Orihuela, where he left his legacy.

Garma y Duran states that the Desprat family had a solar house in Sabassona. Other houses were located in Seva (Barcelona), San Esteban de Bas (Girona), Arbós (Tarragona), and the cities of Barcelona and Lleida.

In Aragon, there was a solar house in Alcalá de la Selva (Teruel), owned by Pedro Desprats, documented in the Aragonese Fogueración of 1495.

Ramón Desprat from Seva (Barcelona) lived in Vich (Barcelona) from 1266 to 1278. G. Desprats or Des Prats was a resident of Lleida in 1344. Berenguer Desprats was a resident of Moncofar (Castellón) in 1254. Berthomeu Desprats was a resident of Onda (Castellón) in 1379. Nicolau Desprats and Pere Desprats were residents of Valencia from 1306 to 1316. Bernat Desprat was a resident of Cocentaina (Alicante) in 1396. G. Guillermo Desprats, native of Arbós and a canon of the city of Tortosa (both in Tarragona), legal representative of Oto de Moncada, Bishop of Tortosa, was authorized by the ecclesiastical arm to the courts of the Principality of Catalonia in 1421. He was the son of Eimerico Desprats y de Vallcorba, Doncel de Arbós, Lord of Morell y de la Quadra de Vallcorba, owner of the Santa Ana Palace, Captain and Military Governor of the Archdiocese of Tarragona, Veguer de Tarragona by Archbishop Pedro de Urrea, and of Leonor, his wife.

Gregorio Desprats de Bigues y de Icart, Knight, Doncel del Vallés, was empowered by the military arm in the Cortes of the Principality of Catalonia in 1599. He was the son of Gerónimo Desprats de Bigues, Doncel del Vallés, Assistant to the Cortes de Monzón in 1563, and paternal grandson of Gerónimo Desprats de Bigues, Doncel del Vallés, Assistant to the Cortes de Monzón in 1528.

Francisco Desprats de Bigues, Carlán de Llussá, was appointed a Knight of the Golden Spur of the Principality of Catalonia by King Carlos I of Austria on January 19, 1520.
